KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Kathy Lynn Taylor, 57, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of
Princeton and McDowell County, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her
residence.
Born November 9, 1954, in Welch, she was the daughter of Ruby Sexton Mitchell
Beasley and the late Everett Lee Mitchell.
Kathy was a graduate of Gary High School and had advance training in
secretarial school. While living in Princeton, she was employed as a secretary
with Robert E. Holroyd Law Offices in Princeton.
Kathy loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ruby and Roy Beasley of
Princeton; two children, Bruce E. Taylor and his companion Tiffany of
Bluefield, Jacquilyn Taylor of Knoxville Tenn.; her former husband and father
of her children, Jackie Taylor of Crawley, W.Va.; grandchildren, Allana,
Makira, Jada and Jackson Taylor; three sisters, Nancy Doyle and husband Jim of
Princeton, Carolyn Schuermann and husband Claude of Winchester Va., Susan Barr
and husband Charles “Chuck” of Woodberry, Minn.; and a very dear and devoted
friend and family member of Kathy and her grandchildren for many years, Steven
(Randy) Bishop.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kathy Lynn Taylor will be held
11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the
Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Scott
Hodge officiating.
