GARY —  Shelby Jean Hall, 68, of P.O. Box 37, Gary, W.Va. (Gary Bottom), passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.  Shelby was born on December 6, 1942 in Elkhorn City, Ky. to the late Alvin Rose and Daisy Clevenger Rose. Shelby graduated from Gary High School where she worked as secretary for years. She was retired from Welch Community Hospital. Shelby had been a resident of Gary for the past 54 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hall; and one son, Jerry Wayne Hall.

Survivors include one son, Michael Hall of Gary, W.Va.; one brother, Bobby Rose and wife Shelia of Gary, W.Va.; one nephew, Bobby Rose Jr. of Gary, W.Va. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.Va. with the Pastors Destry Daniels and Greg Blair officiating the service. Burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Pikeville, Ky. where Bobby Rose Jr., Sonny Castle and other friends will serve as pallbearers.  Friends and family may call at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.Va. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Online condolence can be sent to the Hall family at www.cravens-shires.com
